Coding Resources?
Where can I finding resources on coding web pages? http://www.w3.org is always the ultimate resource. However, it’s not the easiest or most usable source in the world for a beginner.
A good introductory book or a course may be your best bet.
Beware, though, the more extreme the claims for how easy and fast it will be, the less should you take them at face value. Some books claim you can learn to use PHP/Apache & MySql in a few hours. You can’t. You can usually multiply any of these time claims by a factor of 100. The stupider the title suggests you are, the more impenetrable the content. No one would try to sell books called “Brain surgery for morons” or “Rocket science in 10 hours” It’s hard to see how they manage to keep selling computer books on the same level of difficulty.
Online, the W3schools pages are usually great for picking up basic skills in web languages. See http://www.w3schools.com/ for some excellent advice for beginners. If there is sufficient customer demand, Compuskills web design team will look at putting together some beginners guides.Technorati Tags: Web Design HTML Internet Compuskills Web Code FAQ Frequently Asked Questions Beginners Guides Web Design Resources
