Contrast 1.0.1b Theme Available

Contrast 1.0.1b ScreenshotNew: Contrast 1.0.1beta - WordPress theme available for download.

As a result of the interest in our previous theme releases (Harmony has had over 1000 hits now), Compuskills webservice plans to release new themes on a regular basis. The latest is a high contrast theme, with minimal images and based on a black and white colour scheme (will occasional flashes of colour) is available for free download, released under the creative commons licence).

This is not a “sponsored” theme, but there are links back here in the footer which we request you leave in place.

This is currently at version 1.0.1 beta and is stable - tested on Firefox, IE 6 and 7 and Opera. It works with a variety of plugins, although none are required and there are no tailored hooks for them. If you run a wordpress blog, we suggest you get Universal Tag Warrior, Share This and Dunstan Like Error Pages if nothing else.

This theme is widgetised and has been tested on WordPress 2.1 and 2.2.

Installation Instructions: Simply download the zip file, unzip and upload the extracted files to your wp-content/themes folder. Then go to your blog admin menu, select “presentation” and click on the logo to use. You may wish to adjust the widgets to suit your preferences.

This theme has three inbuilt styles to allow you to fine tune your posts layout. You can align blocks using classes “leftfloat” “rightfloat” and “center.” If you wish to do this, in the Write Posts window, switch to code view and wrap your block of text with <p class=”leftfloat”> (or rightfloat or center) as you see fit. If you wish to do this to an image then inside the <img> tag you can enter the class as before.

At the moment there is no demo available (this may change soon though) and the zip file containing the theme can be downloaded from here: Contrast 1.0.1beta - WordPress theme available for download.

If you want any modifications or customisations to this, or any of our themes, please let us know - most of these can be done free of charge.
